Most applicants are generally more prepared for the hiring process than most employers. They dress to impress and arrive at interviews armed with the answers interviewers want to hear.

As an employer, you must find ways to get them to reveal the person inside the package. Test every applicant for the capacities, skills, attitude and personality needed to do the job. Check every reference and statement applicants provide.

A wise person once told me that when we feel anxious about making a decision, it's because we don't have all the facts we need to make a good decision. When you have all the facts you need, the hiring decision makes itself.
